Samina Iqbal, MD
Samina Iqbal MD has worked as a Senior Medical Consultant with Office of Women’s Health, VACO since 2008, participating on several key initiatives. She led the Women’s Health Program at VA Palo Alto from 2004-2017. She has held several leadership positions at VA Palo Alto HCS, including DCOS Specialty and Community Care, ACOS Community Care and Chief Women’s Health.
She joined VA Palo Alto in 1994 as a Fellow in General Internal Medicine with a focus on Health Services Research and Policy (VA and Stanford) and continued as a Primary Care and Women’s Health provider. She has participated in several publications. She is a Clinical Professor of Medicine (affiliated) at Stanford University School of Medicine and enjoys teaching and mentoring medical residents in primary care and women’s health.
Her passion is to remove barriers and streamline care for veterans, especially women veterans.
