Carin L. Minelli, Assistant Managing Editor

In June 2022, Carin Minelli joined the staff of Mayo Clinic Proceedings as an Assistant Managing Editor for Mayo Clinic Proceedings: Innovations, Quality, and Outcomes and Mayo Clinic Proceedings: Digital Health in response to the growth of the two expansion journals and new leadership that accompanied them. Prior to this time, Ms Minelli worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic for several years, where her duties included, in part, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and assisting with the formatting and submission of scientific manuscripts. Hence, she brought new understanding and perspective, from the point of view of busy clinicians, authors, and reviewers, to the Proceedings review process.
Carin Minelli grew up near Rochester, Minnesota, and attended Rochester Community and Technical College, earning an AAS degree. She was employed by a major insurance company where she worked with property and automobile insurance claims and later became a licensed insurance agent, owning her own agency where she managed sales, marketing and employees of the agency.
Ms Minelli oversees and manages the journal’s web-based manuscript submission and review system, Editorial Manager, and provides editorial support to the members of the Editorial Board in regard to the peer review process, as well as supports other board related activities. In addition, Ms Minelli’s job responsibilities include assisting with social media, processing manuscript submissions, developing custom reports for journal metrics, and transmitting accepted manuscripts to the publisher.
