Dawn C. Scantlebury, MBBS

Dr. Dawn Scantlebury is a consultant cardiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), Barbados, and senior associate lecturer in cardiology, at The University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus, Barbados. She completed fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases, advanced echocardiography and interventional cardiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota, in 2015. Immediately following fellowship, she returned to Barbados to start the percutaneous coronary intervention program at the QEH. She is the medical director of the cardiac rehabilitation program of the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Barbados and council member of the Caribbean Cardiac Society. Her main interests include quality improvement in acute coronary syndrome management in Barbados, cardiac rehabilitation, and sex and gender differences in cardiovascular disease.
